How to deal with pain – 7 steps

1. Fully accept that pain will happen. It will happen no matter what you do. In fact, you don’t really expect a totally pain-free life

2. Don’t spend too much time trying to prevent it from happening. This is often wasted effort that could be put to better use.

3. When pain does happen. Stop. Completely. Try to relax for long enough to see where it is located in your body. Then direct your energy to this spot. Like a spotlight.

4. Thank it for showing you what you need. This action releases your resistance to it.

5. Sit in stillness and wait for the pain to slowly shift. Notice your thoughts (especially stories) and release them. Notice your emotions and release them. Breathe deeply.

6. Listen to the very small voice inside you. Wait. It will eventually speak. This is your higher self She will tell you what to do next.

7. Give yourself love.
