Millions of Canadians are waking up in many ways, including :

·       we now see how heavily we are taxed by our elected officials and bureaucracies,

·       we see how governments and officials are controlling and tracking us without our consent,

·       we see how “officials” make laws that limit us and take away our rights.

Although this has been going on for a very long time, during covidtimes there was so much overstepping at all levels of government, that thousands of regular people (who might not get involved in politics) are now saying no more.

The good news in that people are coming together!

Each week I see more and more groups popping up all across Canada. I am enjoying watching how grass roots efforts of regular people can have such a huge impact. Gather 2030 and Maggie Braun’s work is a perfect example.

Another group that I have been watching most recently in British Columbia is Town Halls 2024. I love the simplicity of the idea: You just pick a date and location, host a meeting and invite people to come, speak and hare.

In fact there are three town halls happening near me this week (two are about the new BC provincial laws that are harming us and one is on the UN (global) influence on local municipalities).

Please join in if you can. You just might will meet your tribe!

To give you a taste, here is the Mission Statement of BCTownHalls2024:

“We at BCTOWNHALLS2024 are committed to revitalizing the tradition of face-to-face dialogue in a digital era marked by misinformation. Our vision is a community where each voice is not only heard but respected, fostering unity, understanding, and informed decision-making. By organizing live, moderated town-hall discussions on vital issues, we enable citizens to engage critically with experts, officials, and one another in a neutral, respectful setting.”

“We operate as a self-funded, non-partisan organization, independent of political and activist groups, dedicated to transparency and inclusivity. Our efforts in community engagement aim to mend societal divides through constructive dialogue, promoting a culture of informed citizenship and active engaged civic participation. This approach helps build trust and lays the groundwork for a more informed, unified and people first future.”

Thanks for joining me on this journey.
